This elixir is inspired by Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

the good

The Heart Tonic is slightly sweet, creamy and caffeine-free so it's perfect for anytime of day. It's also a gorgeous pink color because of the beet powder!

the medicine

Hawthorn berry is widely known for its heart-nourishing properties. Not only does it uplift and strengthen the heart both physically and emotionally, it also helps with chest pain, high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat. It's been used to treat heart disease for centuries (1).

Beets are known for their blood-cleansing properties. They contain a high amount of nitrates, which can help to strengthen the heart and relax blood vessels.

Coconut tonifies the heart - which in Ayurveda or TCM means to increase the available energy of.

Dates contain many trace minerals, including magnesium. Magnesium is essential for a healthy heart as it helps regulate heart beat and blood pressure.

notes

I get the majority of my herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs, including the hawthorn berry and beet powder.

If you don't have coconut butter on hand, you could simply use warm coconut milk in place of the water + coconut butter.
